Returns, Bidding, and Ordering

All items bid on and ordered through SMJ are to be assumed "as-is". Bids and Orders cannot
be canceled, returned, replaced, or refunded for any reason. Please be sure the amount you wish
to bid on an auction or the order you want to place is accurate. It is wise to research the product,
translate it to the best of your ability, and always check an auctioneers' feedback prior to bidding.

Late Fees

After you receive an invoice you will have 14 days to pay from the date the invoice was sent. A 5% fee may be charged on each order for every 14 days past due, up to 20% maximum. If the invoice remains unapid your credit card will be billed for the full amount, or your deposit used to pay for it.

Foreign Sellers (outside of Japan and the USA)

Some products may be sold from regions other than Japan. These items do not benefit from our
batch shipping procedure and may be shipped direct to the customer using your registered address. Orders from such sellers commonly take much longer to process and receive.

Fragile & Difficult items

Due to the nature of some items they are more easily subject to damage in shipping, at no fault of
SMJ or the postal service. This is limited to very few items. Such items include guitars, glass
frames, ceramics, or delicate electronics, etc.

Because of this the post office rarely accepts insurance claims on these items. Although SMJ
packages every customers items with care and the up most security in mind, unfortunately ,
we are unable to eat the cost of such goods in the event the post office denies our insurance
claim. SMJ will not reimburse for damaged goods if the insurance claim is not accepted by the
postal facility.

Customs Value and Declarations

All items may be subject to duties imposed by the importing nations postal and customs agencies.
SMJ is not responsible for these fees. Its recommended that all customers research their countries'
laws and know what to expect. All shipments from SMJ must be declared at an accurate value in
order to apply full shipping insurance and comply with international law. Items shipped from the US
office to US residents are not subject to customs duties.

Restricted and Disallowed Items:

Things such as automobiles, appliances, real estate and other items that are very difficult or
impossible to ship and simply not allowed by SMJ. Rule of thumb, if the USPS or normal
government postal services will ship it, we'll handle it.

LITHIUM BATTERIES: Items that contain removeable lithium batteries can no longer be shipped
internationally from Japan by law. This includes items such as cell phones, lap-tops, portable
devices, and select other products. These items can be bid on and ordered but the batteries must
be removed prior to shipping outside of Japan, they may be shipped with the batteries included
to another location within Japan, or alternative shipping methods may be available. SMJ nor the
sellers / retailers will compensate you should a battery have to be removed or an item prove
unshippable. Shipments originating from the USA are not effected.

TICKET / EVENT Auctions: All ticket auctions must be bid on through the manual bid form. Due
to the terms, conditions, and even some scams, our staff must review all ticket auctions before
a bid can be placed for your own security.

FLAMMABLE ITEMS: Flammable liquids are not allowed. Lighters and similar items can only ship
if dissasembled, which our staff will do upon receipt. Please keep this in mind when purchasing
items like Zippos. Such items cannot be pre-filled with any flammable liquids. Also, some cosmetics
such as nail polish are restricted and cannot ship via certain means but can still be purchased..

Other restricted categories include arcade cabinets, home furnishings and others. Most items in
these categories can be bid on via the manual bid form. These are restricted due to some of the
contents in the categories and our staff must review the sale prior to bidding.

Size and Weight Limitations:

Parcel size and weight limits can be found on the Japan Post web site located here and shipments
from the USA here. Please assume the maximum weight for SEA and SAL shipments are 20kg, and
EMS is 30kg. Should your item(s) be overweight or oversized we can still ship them but will have to
use UPS or DHL. These other services are quite expensive, so please keep that in mind.

Customer Responsibility:

Shopping Mall Japan is a deputy service, or middle-man, to help you obtain goods from Japan and the
USA. Or responsibility is to pay for and deliver to you the item(s) in the same condition that we received
them from the sellers in Japan.

We are the best at delivering those goods to you in the same condition we received it, and as quickly /
efficiently as possible. However; we are not responsible for any misrepresentation, damage,
authenticity, functionality, or overall quality of the item as represented by the sellers. Even in the
unfortunate occurrence that an auctioneer not follow through with a transaction, the customer is still
responsible for the costs incurred by SMJ.

Do your best to research items, and always....ALWAYS check a sellers feedback rating. In regards
to web orders, we allow ordering from nearly any website, however; its best to order from well
constructed and larger company sites. If you order from a less known or even shady website the
customer will assume the risk.

Lastly, for your security and peace of mind, it's important to keep your account active and updated!
Keeping your info updated can help avoid shipping and payment issues. Keeping your account active
lets us know it's in safe hands. Accounts that are inactive for a period of 1 year or more may be
declared abandoned and removed from our system without notice at a managers discretion. Simply
logging in and browsing does not constitute activity. Bidding, ordering, updating your info, or even
just emailing us to say "hi" will keep your account open and secure.
