Deposits:
Why is a deposit necessary?
SMJ will purchase items on your behalf and have the items in stock or in transist before we invoice you. These purchases must be secured with a deposit.
Choose Your Deposit Type:
There are two different kinds of deposits. A "Cash" deposit and a "Credit Authorization". Cash deposits get a shopping limit 5 times the amount deposited. Credit Authorizations get a limit equal to the amount authorized.

deposit specifics: Cash deposits are kept on-hand at SMJ to secure your shopping limit. They are not used
to pay for any invoices unless you request it. Cash Deposits are sent through PayPal to " payments-at-shoppingmalljapan.com " (replace the "-at-" with the "@" symbol). Include your username in the subject and/or comments field when filling out the form. Must be a verified PayPal account.
Credit authorization specifics: We do a credit authorization
for whatever amount you request. If the card passes the authorization,
your limit will be set at that amount. We do not charge your
card. To set your credit authorization email us with your username and the amount to authorize. You must email us from your registered address.
Increasing
your deposit: Simply send more funds via Paypal and include a note with your username and that it's for your deposit, or email us with a new authorization amount for your credit card.
Refunding your cash deposit: For a refund your account must be free of any outstanding invoices and bids. For security you must email us from your registered address with your username and any one paypal transaction ID number for any funds sent to us. Credit authorization do not require a refund since no charge is actually made.
Please note we cannot mix deposit types. It must be either a cash deposit or credit authorization, not a mix of both.
Calculating Your Shopping Limit
As mentioned above, your bidding limit will depend on your deposit type. 5x for cash deposits listed above, 1x for credit authorizations. We use a static 110 yen rate for all deposits. (US orders simply use the original dollar amount you deposited)

When do we send an invoice? Do I get my bidding limit back?
Invoices are typically sent 3 to 5 days after the close of an auction or an order is placed. However this can vary depending on the speed that which the seller operates. We like to wait untill your goods are in physical stock to make accurate internal shipping costs.
Once an invoice is sent out, and you pay it off, any part of your bidding limit that was taken up by that item will be free to be used again.
All deposits and normal invoice payments may take up to 24 hours to process. Be sure to act quick if you anticipate needing the spending limit soon.
